Privacy-First Architecture & PECR Transparency

Cookie Policy

Last Updated & Effective Date: 3 October 2026 • Rapid Edge Designs Ltd

[Placeholder: Subject to final review by legal counsel before public launch]

This policy discloses the technical cookie posture and zero-tracking architecture implemented across Rapid Edge Designs Ltd services under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR). This statement remains subject to formal legal verification prior to public launch.

1. Zero Tracking Cookies Philosophy

At Rapid Edge Designs Ltd, we believe that tracking cookies degrade web performance, compromise user privacy, and create unnecessary friction for visitors.

No Non-Essential Cookies & No Cookie Banners

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics cookies, cross-site tracking beacons, or profiling pixels (such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or LinkedIn Insight tags). Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), cookie consent banners are required only when non-essential cookies or tracking scripts are stored on a user's terminal equipment. Because our website operates with zero non-essential cookies, no consent banner is required.

2. Server Access Logs & Edge Telemetry

When you request pages from our website, our edge content delivery network (Amazon CloudFront) automatically logs standard HTTP access metrics. These logs contain:

  • IP address of the requesting client;
  • Date, time, and timezone of the HTTP request;
  • The requested URI resource and HTTP status response code;
  • Browser user-agent string and referrer header (if provided).

These edge access logs are processed exclusively on our secure AWS infrastructure for legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): verifying network availability, diagnosing DNS routing, preventing Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, and mitigating malicious bot traffic via AWS WAF. These logs do not set cookies on your computer and are never merged with individual customer profiles.

3. Functional Local Storage in Preview Environments

On certain interactive demonstration or preview routes (for example, `/demos/roofing` or `/demos/physio`), our client-side scripts may utilize modern browser Web Storage (`localStorage` or `sessionStorage`) strictly to store ephemeral interface states (such as active archetype previews or local dev simulator preferences).

These storage keys are strictly functional, remain contained entirely within your local browser sandbox, contain zero personally identifiable information, and are never transmitted to third parties.

4. How to Inspect or Block Storage in Your Browser

Although we do not set tracking cookies, modern web browsers allow you to inspect, restrict, or block all cookies and local storage tokens. You can configure your preferences directly within your browser settings:

Apple Safari:

Preferences → Privacy → "Block all cookies" and "Prevent cross-site tracking".

Google Chrome:

Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies → "Block third-party cookies".

Mozilla Firefox:

Settings → Privacy & Security → Enhanced Tracking Protection (Strict).

Microsoft Edge:

Settings → Cookies and site permissions → "Manage and delete cookies and site data".
